Author Guidelines

Please read these guidelines carefully before submitting your manuscript. Submissions that do not conform to these requirements will be returned without review.

Manuscript Formatting

File format: Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX (.zip). Do not submit PDF.
Font: Times New Roman 12pt (body), 14pt bold (title).
Line spacing: Double-spaced throughout, including references.
Margins: 2.54 cm (1 inch) on all sides.
Page numbers: Bottom-centre on all pages.
Maximum file size: 20 MB.

Article Structure

Title Page (title, all authors, affiliations, ORCID IDs, corresponding author contact).
Abstract: 150–250 words. Structured: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
Keywords: 5–8 terms, avoid repeating the title.
Introduction → Materials & Methods → Results → Discussion → Conclusion → Acknowledgements → References.
Word counts: Original Research (3,000–8,000), Review (5,000–10,000), Short Comm. (1,500–3,000), Case Study (2,000–5,000). Excludes references and abstract.

Citation & Referencing (APA 7th Edition)

In-text: (Author, Year) or Author (Year). Use "&" for two authors. "et al." for 3+ authors.
Reference list: Alphabetically ordered. DOI must be included where available.
Journal Article: Author, A. B., & Author, C. D. (Year). Title. Journal Name, Vol(Issue), pp–pp. https://doi.org/...
Book: Author, A. B. (Year). Title of book (Edition). Publisher.
Website: Author, A. B. (Year). Title. Retrieved from https://www.example.com
Minimum 30 references for original research; minimum 50 for reviews.

Originality & Plagiarism

All submissions are screened using iThenticate / Turnitin before peer review.
Maximum acceptable similarity index: 18% (excluding reference list and direct quotes).
Manuscripts exceeding 18% similarity are automatically rejected without peer review.
Authors warrant that the submitted work is original and not under simultaneous consideration elsewhere.

Article Processing Charge (APC)

APC is charged ONLY after a manuscript has been accepted following peer review.
Domestic authors (Nigeria): ₦50,000.
International authors: $50 USD.
Payment gateway: SeerBit (Card, Bank Transfer, USSD, Mobile Money).
No submission fee is charged. APC waivers are available for authors from low-income countries — contact the editor.

Author Responsibilities

All listed authors must have made substantial contributions to conception, design, data acquisition/analysis, or drafting.
Corresponding author is responsible for all communication and must have an ORCID iD.
Ethical approval must be obtained and documented for studies involving human subjects or animals.
Data availability statement must be included.
Conflict of interest disclosure is mandatory.
